Kare Plus Awarded Franchise Marketing Awards 2020 for Best PR Campaign!

Kare Plus is delighted to announce we have been awarded this years’ Franchise Marketing Award 2020 for Best PR Campaign!

The annual awards event from Venture Marketing Group took place today, the opening day of this year’ virtual franchise show.

The judging panel included CEO of the British Franchise Association (BFA), Pip Wilkins, and HSBC Franchise Director, Ken Braddock. The panel concluded;

“The Kare Plus #StepUp campaign to help franchisees recruit care workers really captured the zeitgeist of lockdown Britain. We were impressed by the concept, execution and results of this campaign.”

Upon receiving the news, Head of UK Franchise Sales for Kare Plus, Isabelle Baker expressed “This award reflects the ongoing commitment and support we provide our business owners on a daily basis. The award in particular comes at a time of great challenge for businesses of all types across the world but reflects that when working in partnership and in support of each other, we can be resilient, responsive and safeguard our future successes.”

Marketing Manager, Adam Mence continued “It gives me great pleasure informing the team of this award. We felt having a multi-layered and faceted campaign including digital instream radio adverts, social media and PPC elements, we could reach a large targeted audience who can identify what Kare Plus is bringing to the healthcare sector at this crucial period in time.”

The objective of our #StepUp campaign was to increase recruitment volumes during the Covid-19 pandemic. Industries such as hospitality took an immediate hit with redundancies, furloughing of staff and overall uncertainty of job security.

At the start of the pandemic our staffing levels became stretched due to the sheer demand and need for nurses and healthcare workers across the UK. This meant that to accommodate additional demand we needed to increase our supply so we orchestrated multiple campaigns targeting both qualified and unqualified workers to join Kare Plus.

We appealed to qualified workers within healthcare as we could block book their shift patterns and essentially guarantee work for them upon joining our network. For unqualified marketing campaigns we targeted the hospitality sector with good interpersonal skills that can be transferred to care. Our homecare side of the business provides full training and the ability for new starters to be earning within a very short time frame.

During the current climate we felt digital listening was a fantastic opportunity for us to increase our brand awareness across our franchise locations. Radio advertising is known to be one of the most trusted mediums of advertising and we are confident that this new campaign will support our national network of offices to help get more people into care so we can continue to grow and support local communities, nationally.”
